These traditional apple turnovers are made with crunchy and delicious puff pastry. They’re generously filled, sweet but not too sweet. The chunky apple filling has just the right amount of cinnamon and is baked in a flaky puff pastry that’s been sprinkled with large crystal sugar for that little bit of extra sweet crunch. It’s then baked until golden at high heat for a short time, this is what makes the puff pastry puff up and get crunchy. Each one has a single cut mark in the top of it to indicate that its apple.
